Divas & Divos

This class introduces the first steps of jazz, ballet, tap, and acro. Students learn primary classroom etiquette, basic dance choreography and develop rhythm, balance, coordination, flexibility, and basic fundamentals.

Tap


Tap is a timeless art that combines dance and percussion. Tap dance classes explore the two traditions of rhythm tap and Broadway tap. Class begins with warm up exercises in the center that increase control, coordination, and rhythm, followed by across the floor exercises that teach dynamics, phrasing, and musicality. The goal is to develop tap dancers that are equally strong musicians, dancers, and performers.

Lyrical 


Lyrical is an expressive form of dance that merges ballet, jazz and contemporary style to portray the feeling and the story of the music the dancer is performing to.

Leaps & Turns


A technique based class that focuses on jumping and turning. The students will be working on flexibility and strength related to jumping and turning techniques. This class will teach students proper alignment and execution of beginner through advanced jumps and turns. Students are required to be enrolled in a ballet or jazz class to take jumps and turns. This class does not participate in the recital so that the class can use the entire year for progressing technical training.


Tumble/Acro

Students will learn tumbling and acrobatic skills and technique. Challengenging each student individually, through progressions involving basic skills, strength and flexibility.

Ballet

Ballet is the foundation of dance! Classes include traditional barre and center work designed to build a strong, beautiful, graceful, and healthy body with fine posture and poise.  For a student to make appropriate progress in other dance forms, the study of ballet is necessary.

 

Jazz

Jazz combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular danceJazz also has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms.

Jazz/Contemporary


Jazz/Contemporary is an exciting and ever evolving dance form. 

Classes teach basic dance technique and terminology with an emphasis on isolations of the head, shoulders, ribcage, feet and arms while encouraging individual expression and the development of personal style.

Jazz dance is taught with the music of today and can be powerful and percussive or expressive and lyrical.

 

Hip Hop


Is a high-energy class that uses todays music together with movements influenced by elements of poppin', locking, and breaking as well as freestyle movement to give students the opportunity to develop their own sense of style.  Hip hop will help dancers develop body coordination, self expression, and cardiovascular health, while drawing from popular urban culture and music. Hip Hop is a great class for both beginner and experienced dancers.

Latin Impact

This class is an adult fusion dance that combines salsa, merengue, cha cha, bachata, samba, tango, burlesque and latin jazz. This class perfect to help you get fit and at the same time learn different dance styles while having a great time.
